Electrical Engineer
Job Description
Join Insight Global as an Electrical Engineer in Carlsbad, CA (onsite). This role blends hands-on engineering work with cross-functional collaboration, supporting prototype and beta builds through to manufacturing. You will contribute to electrical and control system design, rigorous testing, and problem-solving that helps ensure product performance meets safety, regulatory, and quality expectations.
Responsibilities
- Design and/or improve electrical aspects of products, including electrical and control systems for fluid applicators and fluid management systems, automation machines, and interfaces with customers’ line control processes.
- Develop and execute test plans to generate reliable data demonstrating designs meet safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
- Partner with Mechanical and Software engineering to integrate electrical designs into a cohesive product that satisfies performance requirements.
- Collaborate with product line management to develop and review specifications.
- Work closely with Operations by designing products for manufacturing, supporting prototype builds, and assisting with building and training for beta test versions.
- Design, develop, modify, and evaluate electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry used in electronic equipment and other hardware systems.
- Solve complex problems across a range of scope areas, using analysis of data to evaluate identifiable factors.
- Independently or as part of a project team, collaborate effectively with others while bringing an innovative approach to deliver outcomes for customers and the company.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BS EE)
- 4–10 years of relevant Electrical Engineering experience
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills on equipment
- Experience with Altium, OrCad, or similar PCB design tools
- Experience in manufacturing and production
- Familiarity with structured problem-solving methodologies, including 8-D

Pay: $64.00 - $73.00 per hour
Expected Hours: no less than 40.0 hours per week
