Forward Deployed AI Engineer

Forward Deployed AI Engineer (BCG X) partners with clients to design, build, and deploy innovative AI capabilities with end-to-end ownership across the analytics value chain.

Responsibilities

• Own the analytics value-chain end to end across BCG X teams, including framing business challenges, designing algorithms, implementing, deploying scalable solutions, and enabling colleagues and clients to embrace AI
• Help to build the next generation of AI solutions
• Partner with clients across BCG regions and industries to design, build, and deploy new AI solutions, including on topics such as climate change
• Develop and deliver thought leadership through scientific communities and papers
• Lead conferences on behalf of BCG X
• Actively contribute across every part of the software development life cycle

Requirements

• Apply software development practices and standards to deliver robust, maintainable software
• Be actively involved in every stage of the software development life cycle
• Experience guiding non-technical teams and consultants in best practices for robust software development
• Optimize and enhance computational efficiency of algorithms and software design
• Motivation for a fast-paced, service-oriented environment with direct client interaction on new features for future product releases
• Enjoy collaborating to share software design and solution ideas
• Natural problem-solver with intellectual curiosity across a breadth of industries and topics

Compensation

• Forward Deployed AI Engineer I: $120,000 USD (first year base compensation)
• Forward Deployed AI Engineer II: $155,000 USD (first year base compensation)
• Forward Deployed AI Engineer III: $171,000 USD (first year base compensation)
• Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer: $200,000 USD (first year base compensation)
• Salary range (listed): $120,000 - $200,000 per year
