The Forward Deployed AI Engineer role within BCG X is focused on delivering next-generation AI capabilities from idea to deployment, while working closely with clients across BCG regions and industries. Based in Chicago, IL (onsite), you will help design, build, and deploy innovative solutions, including work connected to topics such as climate change. You will also contribute to the broader technical community through publications and conference leadership.

What you’ll do

Take ownership of the analytics value-chain end to end, including framing business challenges, designing algorithms, implementing solutions, deploying at scale, and helping colleagues and clients adopt AI.
Contribute to the development of the next generation of AI solutions as part of BCG X’s growing engineering organization.
Partner with clients across BCG regions and industries to design, build, and deploy new AI solutions, including initiatives related to climate change.
Develop and deliver thought leadership through scientific community engagement and papers.
Lead conferences on behalf of BCG X.
Work directly with clients on new features intended for future product releases.

Salary range: USD 120,000 - 200,000 per year. First-year base compensation for this role:

Forward Deployed AI Engineer I: $120,000 USD
Forward Deployed AI Engineer II: $155,000 USD
Forward Deployed AI Engineer III: $171,000 USD
Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer: $200,000 USD
