Hotel Maintenance Engineer

Hotel Angeleno in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support hotel operations through repairs, preventative maintenance, and guest-request support.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on hotel equipment
• Respond to and complete guest requests in a timely, professional manner
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues, including circuit problems from distributions to service points
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems including plumbing supply, drains, sewer, and storm drain lines
• Complete daily maintenance and repair logs
• Complete plumbing work orders such as unplugging sinks, handling valves, replacing washers and gaskets, and replacing vacuum breakers and toilet seals
• Handle pressure and time demands, including working overtime when needed
• Complete general maintenance tasks, including light electrical, drywall, painting, patching, and wallpaper repair

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of high-quality building maintenance experience in hospitality or a similar fast-paced environment
• Hospitality experience is highly preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with guests, management, and colleagues
• Ability to push, pull, grasp, lift, or carry supplies, equipment, or tools up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and nights
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment and perform duties under pressure to meet deadlines

Pay & Schedule

• Job type: Full-time
• Pay: $25.00 - $26.50 per hour
• Shift availability: Day Shift (Preferred), Night Shift (Preferred)
