Machine Learning Engineer

Join a machine learning research team in Cupertino to develop and apply cutting-edge generative modeling for Apple Intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Develop modern generative models using diffusion and auto-regressive approaches.
• Advance state-of-the-art technology by rapidly applying impactful AI research developments.
• Contribute proprietary, experimental ideas designed for Apple’s unique ecosystem.
• Work on core modeling technology behind Genmoji, Image Playground, and Image Wand.
• Support large-scale training and on-device optimizations for generative experiences.

Requirements

• M.S. or PhD in Computer Science (or related field such as Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics) or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years experience training and fine-tuning modern image and/or video generation models.
• Experience working in an academic or industrial research environment.
• Proficiency with an ML framework including PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to create clarity in ambiguous circumstances.

Compensation: USD 216,200 - 324,800 per year
