Machine Learning Engineer

Machine Learning Engineer role in Tampa, FL on an onsite contract basis (3 months) focused on building, deploying, and operating ML solutions end to end.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, and optimize machine learning algorithms and models using TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn
• Build end-to-end ML pipelines including data collection, preprocessing, model training, and evaluation
• Deploy and monitor machine learning models in production to maintain scalability, reliability, and performance
• Partner with data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts to convert business objectives into machine learning solutions
• Present outcomes and implications of ML work to technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
• Hands-on experience applying machine learning to real-world use cases such as natural language processing, computer vision, recommender systems, or anomaly detection
• Strong proficiency in Python and common ML/data libraries including NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib
• Familiarity with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of machine learning best practices including data quality, feature engineering, model validation, and hyperparameter tuning
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work independently or within a team
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
