Machine Learning Engineer - R126

Expedition Technology is building end-to-end deployable computer vision solutions for novel applications, and the team is looking for a Deep Learning Software Engineer who wants to develop modern machine learning systems with high-quality engineering practices. This role is based onsite in Herndon, VA and involves delivering carefully tested work in a AWS environment. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team to develop deep learning architectures and pipelines for new application areas
• Implement solutions in Python using PyTorch
• Deliver high-quality, carefully tested software suitable for deployment
• Join team brainstorming sessions to shape innovative approaches to problem solving
• Review and apply insights from academic literature to stay current on emerging theories, techniques, and tools

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance (with TS/SCI preferred)
• US Citizenship required to maintain a US-Government issued security clearance of Top Secret or higher
• MS with 2+ years of experience or BS with 4+ years in a technical field such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Statistics, or Applied Mathematics
• Proven proficiency in PyTorch, TensorFlow, or other modern machine learning frameworks
• Solid theoretical understanding of deep neural networks and their applications, especially computer vision
• Experience architecting, training, testing, and deploying machine learning solutions in an AWS environment
• Experience using collaborative source code management tools such as Git
• Strong technical presentation and writing skills
