Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee drinking water process evaluations, selections, and implementation plans
  • Lead the detailed design of drinking water treatment processes
  • Develop and optimize conventional treatment stages such as coagulation, flocculation, and sedimentation basins
  • Design conventional and advanced filtration solutions
  • Assess and specify membrane systems as needed
  • Plan and design conventional and advanced disinfection systems
  • Select pumps and design pump stations
  • Configure chemical storage and feed systems
  • Produce piping and instrumentation diagrams and related drawings
  • Prepare specifications and contract documents for projects
  • Support construction activities and field troubleshooting
  • Oversee development of construction drawings and 3D models

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical, or biosystems/biological engineering; a Master’s degree is preferred
  • 5+ years of direct design experience with municipal water plants
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
