Job Description

The Product Security Engineer - AI Trainer role supports the development of next-generation AI security models by reviewing AI-generated cybersecurity content and contributing technical problem-solving and feedback.

Location and Job Details

  • Location: Portland, OR (remote)

  • Compensation: USD 50 to 100 per hour

Summary

In this contract position, you will help train AI models by evaluating AI-generated cybersecurity content and shaping security-focused training signals for future AI systems. Work is designed to be flexible, with projects paid hourly.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate AI-generated cybersecurity content, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques, with attention to real-world accuracy and validity.
  • Design and solve security-focused technical problems used to train AI systems.
  • Write clear technical explanations and security-relevant code.
  • Provide feedback that directly shapes the next generation of AI security models.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role, such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or adjacent fields, including government or military cyber operations.
  • Some coding experience required, with comfort navigating and patching a codebase.
  • English fluency (native or bilingual level) with strong writing skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Certifications are a plus (examples: OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, and similar).
