Product Security Engineer - AI Trainer

DataAnnotation is hiring a Product Security Engineer - AI Trainer to help train AI models for cybersecurity. This contract role lets you evaluate AI-generated security content, contribute feedback that improves future AI security reasoning, and work remotely with a flexible schedule through the company’s platform.

What you’ll do

• Review AI-generated cybersecurity content, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques, with an eye toward real-world accuracy and validity.
• Design and solve security-focused technical problems used to train AI systems.
• Produce clear technical explanations and security-relevant code that supports model improvement.
• Provide feedback that directly shapes future models by guiding the next generation of AI security reasoning.

What you’ll bring

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role, such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or a related field. Government or military cyber operations experience is also applicable.
• Coding experience with comfort navigating and patching a codebase.
• English fluency (native or bilingual) with strong writing skills for producing security-focused explanations.
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• Certifications are a plus (examples include OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, and similar).

Contracting with DataAnnotation

• Fully remote: work from anywhere in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
• Flexible schedule: choose which projects you take on and when you work, using your own computer from home.
• Competitive pay: hourly projects paid at $50 to $100 USD per hour.
