Job Description

The Product Security Engineer - AI Trainer role supports the training of AI models for cybersecurity use cases by reviewing AI-generated security content and resolving security-focused technical tasks.

Role Summary

This is a contract position based in Orangeburg, SC (remote). Work is fully remote with a flexible schedule, and projects are compensated on an hourly basis.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate AI-generated cybersecurity content, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques, with a focus on real-world accuracy and validity.
  • Design and solve security-focused technical problems used to train AI systems.
  • Produce clear technical explanations and security-relevant code as part of training outputs.
  • Provide feedback that directly influences the next generation of AI security models.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role, such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or closely related work, including government or military cyber operations.
  • Coding experience required, with comfort navigating and patching a codebase.
  • English fluency (native or bilingual) and strong writing skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Cybersecurity certifications are a plus, including OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, and similar credentials.

Compensation and Payment

Compensation for projects is paid hourly at USD 50 to USD 100 per hour. Higher bonus rates may be available for certain projects. Payment is made via PayPal.

Work Location and Schedule

  • Fully remote work is available in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
  • Flexible scheduling, with the ability to choose which projects to take on and when to work.
  • Work is performed on your own computer from your home.
