Project Engineer

Join Infosmart Technologies Inc in Ennis, TX to lead capital projects that improve plant performance, safety, and reliability. This onsite Project Engineer role combines hands-on engineering problem-solving with end-to-end delivery across scope, schedule, and budget, while providing technical support to design, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting efforts.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and execute capital projects including modifications, improvements, and new equipment through the full lifecycle, ensuring delivery aligns with scope, schedule, and budget.
• Define and manage project installations by preparing detailed design scopes, cost estimates, and capital expenditure justifications.
• Drive continuous improvement by analyzing current best technologies, recommending process or equipment modifications, and resolving routine operational issues.
• Serve as the primary technical resource for design, detailed engineering, coordination, commissioning, and startup for both project and plant engineering initiatives.
• Coordinate internal maintenance efforts and work with external contractors during project execution, supporting new product and system development.
• Provide consistent plant engineering support to Production and Maintenance, leading troubleshooting and acting as the resource for complex problem resolution.
• Develop, implement, and maintain engineering standards covering project execution, equipment, design, safety, and cost control.
• Promote and enforce safety initiatives, policies, and best practices related to equipment operation and maintenance.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical) required.
• 5+ years of experience, preferably in manufacturing or roofing/building products.
• Ability to function as a multi-disciplinary project manager, supervise as a lead engineer, and provide expertise across maintenance, operations, and process management.
• Experience managing project aspects within budget, scope, and downtime constraints.
• Thorough knowledge of computer software and G Suite essential.
• Knowledge of OSHA, general industry, and environmental compliance.
• Strong written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
• Advanced analytical and organizational skills with close attention to detail, including the ability to plan, execute, and control multiple concurrent tasks.
• Demonstrated technical problem-solving skills, including hands-on experience with contractors and/or internal maintenance.
• Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects.
• Preferred: engineering experience with integrated design environments (e.g., OEMs or consultant engineering).
