Job Description

The Resident Reliability Engineer is responsible for keeping E80 systems and equipment running reliably at dedicated customer plants. The role combines daily, hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting with coordination of on-site activities and collaboration with both customer and E80 teams.

Role Overview

This position manages and coordinates routine operational activities on a daily, weekly, and monthly cadence to maintain, operate, and support E80 systems and equipment. The work is approximately 80% hands-on equipment and system support and 20% supervising and coordinating with other E80 staff and customer teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support equipment reliability and uptime through scheduled inspections, preventive tasks, and condition-based (on-failure) maintenance.
  • Diagnose faults and perform corrective maintenance and troubleshooting to restore performance quickly.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance according to approved plans and document results.
  • Report activities, findings, and system performance to both the Customer and E80.
  • Maintain a strong Customer–E80 relationship through trust, daily commitment, technical results, and equipment reliability.
  • Act, together with the direct manager, as an interface across corporate teams to coordinate problem solving, on-site and remote operations, spare-parts supply, and quotations.
  • Participate in regular meetings with customer stakeholders.
  • Escalate and report anomalies to E80 and proactively propose solutions and corrective actions.
  • Provide on-the-job training to customer personnel and maintain training records.
  • With the direct manager and Area Manager, identify and promote improvements, system modifications, and extensions.
  • Support on-site spare-parts inventory, set reorder points, and request purchases as needed.
  • In coordination with the direct manager, organize, manage, and keep customer-required safety/security documentation current.
  • Organize and maintain the maintenance area, tools, and equipment provided by E80 and/or the Customer.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or operations management is preferred; alternatively, equivalent maintenance management experience in material handling and industrial machine design and manufacturing industries may be considered.
  • 1+ years of proven E80 experience in field, project management, or service execution as a reliability engineer, site manager, or engineer.
  • Technical knowledge of E80 products, including the use of E80 GUI reports and system performance metrics.
  • Strong technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience across an E80 automation system, including PLC, PC, LGV, and EM.
  • CMRT and relevant certifications are highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP and CRM (Salesforce).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and the power platform.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration abilities, with a change-agent mindset.

Compensation and Schedule

Hourly pay: USD 35–42 per hour, depending on experience (FLSA non-exempt).

Working hours: Availability to work a 2-2-3 Panama 12-hour shift schedule.
