Security Engineer - AI Trainer
Job Description
DataAnnotation is seeking an existing Security Engineer - AI Trainer to support the development of AI models for cybersecurity. In this contract role, you will review AI-generated security material, assess its validity against real-world threat and defense contexts, and provide feedback that helps refine how these systems reason.

Compensation
- Pay: USD $50 to $100 per hour
- Potential: opportunities for higher bonus rates for certain projects

Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate AI-generated cybersecurity content, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques, with an emphasis on real-world accuracy and validity.
- Design and solve security-focused technical problems used to train AI systems.
- Produce clear technical explanations and security-relevant code.
- Deliver feedback that directly influences the next generation of AI security models.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or adjacent work.
- Operational background: experience including government or military cyber operations.
- Coding: some coding experience; ability to navigate and patch a codebase comfortably.
- Language: fluency in English at native or bilingual level, with strong writing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: bachelorโs degree (preferred).
- Certifications: cybersecurity certifications are a plus, such as OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, or similar.
