Security Engineer - AI Trainer
Job Description
Join DataAnnotation as a Security Engineer - AI Trainer on a fully remote contract role. Work with AI systems that support cybersecurity use cases by reviewing AI-generated security content, creating security-focused technical challenges, and delivering feedback that helps models reason more accurately about real-world threats and defenses.
You will have control over your workflow with a flexible schedule, choosing which projects to take on and when to work using your own computer. Compensation is $50 to $100 USD per hour, with the possibility of higher bonus rates for certain projects.
Responsibilities
- Review AI-generated cybersecurity content, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques, with an emphasis on real-world accuracy and validity.
- Create and solve security-focused technical problems that are used to train AI systems.
- Produce clear technical explanations and security-relevant code as part of training content.
- Provide feedback that directly informs the next generation of AI security models.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or adjacent fields, including government or military cyber operations.
- Coding experience required, with comfort navigating and patching a codebase.
- English fluency (native or bilingual) with strong writing skills.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Cybersecurity certifications are a plus, including OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, and similar.
