Senior Acquisition Electrical Engineer

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc (MTSI) seeks a Senior Acquisition Electrical Engineer to support the B-2 SPO at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH. This onsite role centers on Air Force systems acquisition work, including requirements analysis and system-level test and evaluation across weapon systems, avionics, and related subsystems.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply DoD engineering principles and processes to improve performance and sustainability for current and future Air Force and joint-service weapon systems
• Provide technical leadership across complex hardware and software design efforts
• Support aircraft software and hardware development activities
• Contribute to systems engineering tasks, including requirements management and test and evaluation
• Coordinate with government leadership, development teams, vendors, and users to align solutions with mission needs and available resources
• Identify and communicate project and system risks
• Create and maintain program engineering documentation
• Review systems engineering artifacts produced by development teams
• Capture and communicate accomplishments and lessons learned through reports, documentation, and program reviews
• Apply risk management principles and identify opportunities for improvement
• Translate user needs into requirements and support verification and traceability
• Travel up to 25% to support program activity

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree (MSEE) in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited school plus 10 years of industry or government Electrical Engineering experience
• Bachelor’s degree (BSEE) in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited school plus 18 years of industry Electrical Engineering experience
• Active Top Secret clearance and eligible for SCI and SAP access
