Senior AI Engineer

Join Deloitte's SFL Scientific as a Senior AI Engineer, where you will help shape the AI and data infrastructure that powers enterprise-grade ML and GenAI initiatives. The role sits at the intersection of architecture and hands-on engineering, delivering scalable solutions across cloud and on-prem environments in a collaborative, cross-functional setting.

Location: Raleigh, NC (onsite). Salary: USD 128,000 - 252,500 per year. Education: Bachelor's degree in a STEM field. Minimum experience: 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to design, build, and roll out architectures that support machine learning and automation applications
• Apply advanced skills in modern data architecture, data science engineering, data transformation, and managing both structured and unstructured data sources using cloud or on-prem technologies
• Lead the development of scalable, high-performance data architecture solutions that enable client business needs and AI/GenAI use cases
• Enhance data architecture, data pipelines, and define database schemas (Graph, SQL, NoSQL) to support algorithm scalability and deployment aligned to agile priorities
• Participate in architectural and deployment discussions to ensure designs scale, remain secure, and achieve high availability in cloud or on-prem environments
• Adopt engineering best practices in automation, HPC, and AI/GenAI infrastructure and design patterns
• Define and guide technology proof-of-concepts to verify feasibility of new data and cloud technology solutions
• Demonstrate leadership and execution in modern data architecture principles and technology modernization
• Mentor and coach junior team members, promoting technical excellence and professional development
