Senior AI Engineer

The Senior AI Engineer role is a hybrid position in Eagan, Minnesota, focused on advancing an organization-wide AI strategy through production-ready AI and machine learning engineering. You will develop reusable frameworks, support cloud deployment and migration, and partner across teams to automate workflows and reduce operational overhead.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy production-ready artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions from concept through implementation.
• Create reusable frameworks and engineering patterns that can be applied across products and business problems.
• Support cloud migration and the integration of AI solutions while following reliable product lifecycle management practices.
• Partner with product, data science, engineering, and business teams to translate strategic needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Deploy AI and ML models into production in collaboration with data scientists and organizational stakeholders.
• Work with a team of data scientists and AI engineers to enable seamless AI development, integration, and deployment in production.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to understand analytical and ML needs and deliver technical solutions.
• Mentor junior data scientists, including training and running models in cloud environments such as AWS and Azure, and automation of data science processes.
• Develop and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests for APIs and ML models.
• Evaluate and implement emerging tools and cloud services for analytics and data engineering to improve team productivity.
• Build and maintain high-quality data pipelines used by data scientists and business analysts to generate insights.

Requirements

• 5+ years of related data analytics and business intelligence professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree; in lieu of a degree, an additional two years of relevant experience beyond the qualifications listed above may be accepted.

• Ability to communicate complex topics clearly, actively listen, anticipate stakeholder needs, and align others to drive informed decisions.
• Ability to analyze complex information, evaluate options, and work cross-functionally to drive resolution and prevent recurrence.
• Ability to organize work effectively, balance competing priorities, and manage time across complex assignments and deadlines.
• Programming proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with predictive modeling and statistical analysis within ML workflows.
• Experience with AWS tools and cloud platforms.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Experience with visualization tools including PowerBI, Tableau, and Looker.
• Experience with healthcare data and/or healthcare domain knowledge.
