Senior AI Engineer

deCircle is building Studio ventures that move from early scope to shipped, production-ready products. As a Senior AI Engineer, you will help design and deliver end-to-end agentic AI systems that power 0-to-1 growth through PMF, then operationalize the first product for real users. The role is hybrid, with 3 days in office in NYC (21st & Broadway) or Chicago, and it supports visa transfers (OPT, H1B).

Compensation for this role is USD 190,000 to 250,000 per year plus bonus. You will also have access to platform equity, studio fund participation, and PE fund carry.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end agentic AI systems, including agents, retrieval, orchestration, and tools, for Studio ventures moving from 0-to-1 through PMF
• Own the path from scope to ship for a venture’s first product, then harden it for production use
• Identify and extract reusable primitives that accelerate future builds
• Collaborate with product strategists and design partners to shape what gets built
• Work effectively across different venture contexts and perform well in ambiguity

Requirements

• 2-5+ years experience from a top quant environment (Citadel, Two Sigma, DE Shaw, Jane Street) or elite tech (Google, Stripe, Ramp, Databricks, Modal), with clear individual output
• Proven experience shipping and operating production AI systems with real users
• Entrepreneurial instinct demonstrated through side projects, startup experience, or internal 0-to-1 efforts
• Top-tier STEM degree
• Commercial EQ to work productively with non-technical stakeholders
• Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office in NYC or Chicago
