Senior Application Security Engineer

Navira Federal is hiring a Senior Application Security Engineer to assess security weaknesses in federal agency applications before release and partner with developers to remediate findings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical security assessments across applications, platforms, and cloud environments
• Perform static and dynamic testing using SAST and DAST
• Carry out secure code reviews and validate security results
• Guide development teams on remediation steps and track progress to closure
• Support architecture reviews and contribute to security impact analyses
• Ensure custom code is scanned before it reaches production

Requirements

• Current CISSP, or a current industry-accepted application or cloud development certification
• U.S. citizenship
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Demonstrated experience performing technical security assessments of federal applications, platforms, and environments
• Cloud security experience since September 2024
• Ability to work on site Monday through Friday
• Ability to support an after-hours on-call rotation

Compensation: USD 125,000 - 139,800 per year
