Job Description
Raytheon seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to be onsite in Tewksbury, MA.
Responsibilities
- Define security requirements and architect solutions, delivering guidance on security technologies.
- Analyze security data and test results to inform risk decisions.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for compliance and security programs.
- Define cybersecurity requirements, design artifacts, architectures, strategies, plans, and policies.
- Lead or provide oversight for vulnerability assessments, including defining, negotiating, and executing Assessment and Authorization (A&A) events.
- Collaborate with program and engineering teams to evaluate cybersecurity solution options and alternatives.
- Conduct cybersecurity audits to verify proper implementation and alignment with the security posture.
- Define security development and testing activities to implement controls across networking devices, databases, operating systems, and hardware/software components.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in cybersecurity, compliance, and the NIST RMF framework.
- Active, transferable DoD Secret clearance required on day 1; U.S. citizenship is required.
- Experience with security features and vulnerabilities of operating systems as defined by NSA, NIST, DISA STIGs, and USCYBERCOM.
- Experience with network and system security administration, including secure OS configuration and account management for Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Cisco systems.
- Familiarity with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) as described in NIST 800-37.
- Onsite work arrangement at the specified location.
- Security clearance type: DoD Secret; active clearance required on day 1.
