Senior Data Analytics Engineer

Senior Data Analytics Engineer on Core BTS's Data Analytics Data Platform (DADP) team, remotely located with a salary range of USD 97,000 to 130,000 per year, focused on delivering BI solutions and scalable data platforms using the Microsoft Analytics stack.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains databases, data pipelines, and data lakes.
• Transforms and models data, develops reporting and analytics, creates dashboards, and leverages analytics tools.

• Collaborates with other DADP team members across all stages of the data analytics lifecycle—from requirements gathering and solution delivery to documenting lessons learned.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of work experience in data engineering.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory.
• Experience with Azure Databricks.
• Experience with Azure Synapse.
• Experience with Fabric.
• Understanding of Agile engineering practices.
• Data warehouse and lakehouse methodologies, including medallion architecture.
• Data ETL/ELT processes.
• Data profiling and anomaly detection.
• Data modeling (Dimensional/Kimball).
• SQL proficiency.
• Strong background in relational database platforms.
• DevOps / Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
• Growing familiarity and experience with Python.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective oral and written communication and organizational skills.
• Desire for continued education and certification relevant to the position.
• Previous consulting experience is preferred but not required.
