The Lead Azure DevOps, Infrastructure & Security Engineer will own the design, deployment, and governance of intelliSPEC's Azure-based infrastructure, DevOps pipelines, security posture, observability, and cost optimization. This role reports to the President of intelliSPEC and is based in The Woodlands, TX with a hybrid schedule requiring three days in the office.
Responsibilities
- Own the design, management, optimization, and ongoing improvement of intelliSPECβs Azure infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, Bicep, or equivalent IaC tools.
- Own and enhance CI/CD pipelines across applications, APIs, mobile, and platform services.
- Construct secure, reliable, and automated pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Support readiness for SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, and customer security reviews.
- Build and manage observability across Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, alerts, dashboards, and incident workflows.
- Create runbooks for incident response, disaster recovery, backup validation, environment recovery, and production support.
- Own Azure cost visibility, budget controls, tagging discipline, usage monitoring, and cost optimization recommendations.
- Develop infrastructure cost dashboards for leadership, engineering, and finance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, SRE, or cloud security.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience managing Microsoft Azure environments.
- Strong Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or similar tools.
- Experience managing Azure cost optimization, governance, tagging, budget controls, and cloud resource efficiency.
- Solid understanding of DevSecOps practices and secure cloud architecture.
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues across applications, infrastructure, network, identity, and deployment layers.
- Proficiency in building executive-level dashboards using Power BI, Azure Workbooks, KQL, or equivalent BI tools.
- Strong documentation skills, including runbooks, architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and operational procedures.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset with the ability to operate independently and drive outcomes.

Location
The Woodlands, Texas. This is a hybrid role with in-office collaboration three days per week.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 hours weekly. Hybrid arrangement with three in-office days.
Travel
Minimal travel required, approximately 5% of the time.
