Job Description

Propel us is seeking a Senior Data Analytics Engineer who turns raw data into actionable insights and builds scalable analytics infrastructure. In a remote capacity, you will collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and engineers to empower data-driven decision making and support our compliance management technology.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into the data warehouse.
  • Design and optimize data models to meet analytical and reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with data scientists to deploy machine learning models and analytical solutions.
  • Monitor data quality and address data integrity issues.
  • Contribute to data documentation and metadata management practices.
  • Work with stakeholders to capture data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Assist in evaluating and adopting new data technologies and tools.
  • Participate in code reviews and help establish coding standards and best practices.
  • Independently manage assigned tasks and projects, delivering quality results on schedule.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance data processes and systems proactively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and data warehousing services (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
  • Knowledge of data testing frameworks.
  • Experience with ETL tools and techniques (Apache Airflow, dbt).
  • Solid understanding of data modeling principles and data warehouse architecture.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with at least one programming language (Python, Java).
  • Good communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Proficiency with Git for version control.

Compensation

On target earnings (DOE): $100,000 – $140,000 per year. The posted range represents the typical compensation for this role and may be adjusted based on education, experience, skills, location, and market data. Additional benefits are provided as part of the job posting.
