EXL Service is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to support complex data engineering initiatives within its insurance data and analytics practice. This onsite role in Jersey City, NJ centers on building reliable, cloud-based data foundations that enable analytics across the insurance domain.

In this position, you will work on end-to-end pipelines, ELT/ETL workflows, and data quality validation in cloud environments, partnering with teams to modernize legacy systems and improve performance across the data stack.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines using PySpark, Snowflake, and AWS cloud services
Architect scalable ELT/ETL workflows and data warehouse models for insurance analytics use cases
Lead data migration and modernization efforts from legacy environments to cloud-native platforms
Develop and review complex SQL transformations, stored procedures, and data quality validation frameworks
Define and enforce data engineering standards, coding best practices, and pipeline documentation
Provide hands-on troubleshooting and performance optimization across the data stack

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
