Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Motion Recruitment is hiring for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer role based in Charlotte, NC (hybrid). In this position, you will help define the architecture for scalable AI/ML systems and agentic workflows, building and deploying advanced AI models and retrieval systems that support a highly regulated professional-services industry.

What you’ll do

• Build and deploy advanced AI and machine learning models for professional research tools
• Design, improve, and scale distributed ML systems and enterprise platforms
• Develop and integrate agent-based AI workflows and retrieval systems
• Partner with engineering teams to support scalable and secure AI solutions

Key skills and requirements

• Strong experience with AI/ML and agentic workflows
• Strong experience with LLM and RAG architecture
• Experience with vector databases
• Exposure to MLOps
• Proficiency with Python
• Exposure to AWS and Kubernetes

Additional experience

• Experience building technology for the legal, compliance, or another highly regulated industry
• 12+ years of development experience, or 8+ years with a PhD
• Degree in a relevant field
