Senior Mechanical Engineer

Senior Mechanical Engineer role in Peoria, Illinois focused on delivering custom, engineered-to-order industrial equipment from concept through production.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and development for custom industrial equipment, covering the full lifecycle from initial concept to production
• Provide technical leadership by mentoring junior engineers and reviewing design packages before release
• Coordinate with project management, manufacturing, electrical engineering, and sales to support successful execution of engineered-to-order projects
• Drive continuous improvement efforts and reinforce engineering best practices across the department

Requirements

• Experience in a Senior Mechanical Engineer or Senior Mechanical Design Engineer role
• Strong 3D CAD skills, using SolidWorks, Creo, or similar tools
• Background designing industrial equipment, fabricated equipment, or heavy mechanical assemblies
• Ability to contribute to long-term progression with technical leadership responsibilities in a growing manufacturer
