Mechanical Engineer - Senior

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical engineering calculations for machine systems and subsystems
• Build CAD models of complex assemblies
• Design machined parts and sheet metal parts
• Create and maintain assembly drawings
• Maintain and update the Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Obtain quotes for purchased parts and raw material stock
• Purchase parts and raw materials from external vendors
• Order machined parts and weldments from internal teams
• Partner with internal teams during assembly and testing of complex assemblies and entire machines
• Provide customer support as needed

Requirements

• Hands-on experience and natural mechanical inclination
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, with more than 8 years of equipment or component design experience
• Proven experience in an engineering role with a record of delivering complex projects
• Strong technical background in mechanical system design, development, and implementation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices
• Ability to lead engineering projects to completion within time and budget expectations while using highest quality standards
• Ability to work indefinitely in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Vacuum equipment experience
• Roll to roll controls and design experience
• Experience using project management tools and methodologies

Compensation and Benefits

$90,000 to $120,000 per year (USD). Full-time schedule, Monday to Friday, with a 401(k) and 401(k) matching. Benefits include dental insurance, health insurance, a health savings account, vision insurance, paid time off, and a retirement plan.
