Senior Principal Software Security Engineer

Raytheon is hiring a Senior Principal Software Security Engineer in Tucson, AZ to help deliver security software for deployed missile systems.

Responsibilities

• Apply expertise in real-time software design and understand performance implications of specific System Security implementations
• Contribute to application and embedded software design, development, integration, and testing for real-time missile software
• Use System Security principles when designing and implementing Missile software applications
• Develop software applications in C and C++ across multiple computing platforms
• Evaluate how technical contributions impact the overall missile system and develop or review solutions at the source code level
• Collaborate with the Systems Security Engineering team to define and implement requirements
• Work within a common development environment to support program capability reuse
• Interface with the customer community to review technical design and support verification of system maturity

Requirements

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) plus minimum 10 years of relevant software experience
• Experience with C / C++
• Experience with Xilinx UltaScale+ MPSoC, Versal, or similar embedded processors
• Experience with embedded OS such as VxWorks or Embedded Linux (or similar)
• Embedded Software Security experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret Level U.S. security clearance prior to start, with the ability to obtain program access after start; U.S. citizenship required
• Experience using security-relevant tools and devices for security auditing, network security, host/server security, communication security, or policy management
• Experience in Agile and DevSecOps environments
• Experience with Agile/Scrum/Kanban frameworks and development environments
• Experience with software configuration management and bug tracking tools
• Experience with Python / Perl
• Knowledge of modern computer architectures and hardware technologies including PCIe, GPIO, I2C, SATA
• Experience with FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Arrays)
• Experience with ASICs (Application-Specific Integrated Circuits)

Onsite and Security Clearance

• Onsite: work primarily onsite at Raytheon campus in Tucson, AZ (production and maintenance employees essential to product development)
• This position requires a security clearance; DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), a Department of Defense agency, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process

Salary: USD 132,400 - 251,600 per yearly
