Responsibilities
- Design and optimize water and wastewater treatment processes
- Conduct process modeling and define design criteria from data analysis
- Support evaluation, selection, and implementation of process solutions
- Perform hydraulic analyses for treatment facilities
- Engineer chemical storage and feed systems
- Size and specify blower systems
- Create process flow diagrams
- Prepare piping and instrumentation diagrams
- Develop specifications and contract documents
- Support construction efforts
- Lead the development of construction drawings and 3D models
- Assist the Process Group Leader with team management, scheduling, budget monitoring, and ensuring deliverables meet Garver standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical, or biosystems/agricultural engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Master’s degree in civil, environmental, chemical, or related engineering discipline
- Eight or more years of direct experience designing water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Professional Engineer Licensure (PE)
- Experience with biological modeling software such as BioWin, GPS-X, and Sumo
- Experience collaborating with diverse disciplinary teams, including civil, structural, building mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation and control disciplines
