Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack)

Quantum Health is hiring a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to help build high-performance patient and provider web experiences. In this remote role, you will work with a team that emphasizes strong engineering and testing standards while delivering scalable, reliable features. The stack is anchored in Ruby on Rails and React, with backend services and APIs designed for real-world performance and maintainability.

What you’ll do

• Lead the technical vision and delivery of high-performance APIs and end-user experiences for patient and provider applications using Ruby on Rails and React.
• Contribute to evolving software development and testing standards to raise technical excellence across the team.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to ship high-impact features that balance strong UX with clean, maintainable code.
• Perform other assigned duties.

What you’ll bring

• 7+ years building and shipping scalable web applications across the full software stack.
• React, TypeScript, and modern UI patterns, with a focus on web performance and responsiveness.
• Strong backend experience: designing clean APIs using GraphQL and REST, and establishing efficient data-fetching models.
• Proficiency writing SQL for relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on automated testing across layers using RSpec, React Testing Library, Cypress, and Playwright.
• Experience with modern CI/CD and GitHub Actions deployment pipelines.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an iterative Agile environment, delivering continuous business value with minimal direction.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation to support platform reliability outside standard hours.
• Commitment to protect user data by following data security, privacy, and ethical technology practices.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent and ongoing future basis without requiring sponsorship.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, MIS, CS or equivalent, or similar experience.

• Prior experience in healthcare and building integrations in the broader US health system.
