Job Description

RDSI has an immediate opening for an experienced Software Engineer with EW experience to work full-time on-site in Middletown, RI.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the software lead to determine software development requirements and library updates
  • Carry out software configuration tasks, troubleshoot issues, and update databases
  • Collaborate with fellow engineers to advance technology and apply best practices consistently
  • Participate in peer code reviews
  • Provide feedback to peers to improve the overall code development process
  • Provide engineering level evaluations of proposed tasks to assist RDSI in developing cost

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Windows OS and Linux
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in C++
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in MFC
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or related fields
  • Must be well versed in the use of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Project
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Secret level Security Clearance
  • Excellent oral and written skills are critical
  • The candidate must be able to work independently with a minimum of supervision, and able to work collaboratively with other team members when required

Additional Experience Desired

  • Experience with HLA, Git, Python and SQL preferred
  • Software performance optimization and real-time programming
  • Familiarity with SMITT and SEWTS US Navy Training Systems, Electronic Warfare (EW), electronic surveillance, Electronic Support (ES), ELINT, and/or COMIT receivers, systems and techniques
  • Radar or RF technologies, RF propagation theories, tools and basic antenna theory
  • VHDL/Verilog programming language for FPGA systems
