Job Description

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking Software Engineer – Data Engineer professionals to join teams based at the company’s Moscow, Idaho headquarters. This onsite role focuses on creating and refining data solutions that support high-quality, reliable reporting and analytics. What you’ll do

In this position, you will design and deliver data solutions using both data science and software engineering principles.

  • Develop specifications, designs, implementations, and documentation for a broad range of data solutions.
  • Create normalized, relational and/or dimensional data models for OLTP and OLAP systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to build enterprise reporting models.
  • Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines that move data from multiple sources while ensuring data is accurate, consistent, and secure.
  • Administer and optimize data solutions to support performance and scalability.
  • Build solutions using technologies including SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Stream Analytics, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and Power BI Premium.

Where this role is based

These positions are based out of the company’s headquarters in Moscow, Idaho. Regular on-site work at the Moscow office is required, and remote or work-from-home arrangements are not permitted.
