Sr. Data Analytics Engineer

Based in Midlothian, Virginia, this onsite role offers an annual compensation of USD 170,000. The Senior Data Analytics Engineer will spearhead the modernization of the enterprise data platform, designing a scalable data warehouse and consolidating legacy reporting into a governed, centralized environment. This practical position builds and maintains the analytics stack, data pipelines, governance framework, and Power BI reporting, engaging with stakeholders during knowledge transfer before assuming full ownership.

Responsibilities

• Assess and deploy a modern cloud data platform such as Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Databricks, or comparable options.
• Architect and sustain ETL/ELT pipelines that integrate data from multiple ERP and business systems.
• Develop scalable data models and implement enterprise data standards and governance.
• Standardize reporting through Power BI and retire legacy reporting tools.
• Oversee data security, access controls, and documentation processes.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver reliable, reusable reporting solutions.
• Support ERP initiatives and the integration of newly acquired business units.

Requirements

• 5+ years of analytics or data engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience building modern data warehouse solutions.
• Strong ETL/ELT, SQL, data modeling, and Power BI expertise.
• Experience implementing data governance and data quality practices.
• Ability to evaluate technology platforms and recommend scalable solutions.
• Experience working with complex, multi-source or multi-entity data environments.
