Staff Applied AI Engineer

Storm3 is building AI systems used in pharmaceutical marketing, and this role will set the technical direction for how those systems retrieve, generate, verify, evaluate, and ultimately run in production. As a Staff Applied AI Engineer, you will help ensure generated marketing assets remain tied to approved materials through provenance-preserving, claim-level attribution, while connecting model outputs to measurable real-world performance.

This onsite position is based in New York, NY, with an annual salary range of USD 230,000 - 350,000.

What you will own

• Own retrieval, generation, verification, and evaluation for AI-generated pharma marketing assets including emails, banners, slides, and leave-behinds
• Build claim-level attribution so each sentence can be traced to a specific, defensible source across proprietary corpora such as prescribing information, clinical data, approved assets, style guides, and claim libraries
• Develop offline evaluation metrics that forecast downstream MLR review outcomes, accounting for ground truth arriving slowly through inconsistent reviewer redlines
• Connect generated assets to real-world outcomes including engagement, HCP response, and scripts written, and feed that performance data back into the system
• Run end-to-end ML operations with CI/CD for ML, versioning, automated testing, monitoring, and behavioral regression detection
• Ship high-craft results with visual and textual excellence that maintains quality through generation without being silently rewritten

What you bring

• Deep experience shipping, operating, and maintaining ML/LLM systems in production
• An evaluation mindset, including a history of creating metrics to measure and improve system performance
• Strong LLM depth across retrieval, agentic pipelines, targeted fine-tuning, and selecting the right tool for each task
• Full-stack capability with Python, FastAPI, Docker, and AWS, able to move from research to deployed service independently
• Comfort making confident decisions amid ambiguity and adjusting quickly
• Direct, open communication style
