Job Description

Arcfield seeks a Systems Engineer for an onsite role in Middletown, RI. The position focuses on system-level design, development, integration, and testing of Electronic Warfare capabilities for submarine platforms, with MBSE using Cameo to define and manage models and requirements, along with RF analysis and verification activities. The salary range is USD 57,912 to 100,698 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the system-level design, development, integration, and testing of Electronic Warfare capabilities for submarine platforms.
  • Apply an Electrical Engineering emphasis in electromagnetic, RF, and antenna theory, with hands-on testing experience.
  • Maintain a basic understanding of submarine EW concepts.
  • Use Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies with Cameo to define, analyze, and manage system models and requirements.
  • Develop and sustain system requirements with bidirectional traceability from high-level mission needs to subsystem implementation.
  • Conduct RF system analysis activities, including cascade analysis, co-site interference assessment, and evaluation of mission-level performance.
  • Support system verification and validation activities, contributing to technical reviews, design documentation, and test events.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary hardware, software, and test teams to ensure cohesive system architecture and design integrity.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects to meet program objectives.
  • Validate the accuracy of engineering models by comparing system performance against historic models.
  • Engage technically with mechanical, electrical, sensors, and software leads as needed.

Requirements

  • Education and experience: 0–2 years with a Bachelor's degree; 4–6 years with a High School diploma.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Basic experience and knowledge of electrical engineering functions related to design, troubleshooting, analysis, reporting, and testing of complex systems.
  • Experience with SysML, DoDAF, UAFP, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience developing model-based system engineering artifacts, including operational viewpoints, system viewpoints, activity diagrams, use case diagrams, block definition diagrams, internal block diagrams, and simulation models.
  • Preferred experience with RADAR, RF systems, System Integration Labs (SIL), and maritime platforms.
  • Knowledge of environmental testing methodologies, objectives, and testing environments.
  • Technical writing and presentation skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft Word.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with VISIO or similar engineering documentation tools is a plus.
  • Experience with process improvement methods, practices, and procedures (such as CMMI) is a plus.
  • Possess and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Understanding of DoD engineering design practices is a plus.
  • Knowledge of EW systems and technologies, specifically AN/BLQ-10, is a plus.
