Systems Engineers - All Levels

BAE Systems Inc. is expanding its Controls and Avionics Solutions (CAS) team with Systems Engineers across multiple experience levels. In this role, you will help deliver electronic systems work through the full lifecycle, including modeling, design, development, integration, debug, test, and field support.

The team supports Electronic Systems development programs, and the positions are based in Endicott, NY with a hybrid work arrangement (also noted locations include Austin, TX). Levels range from individual contributor through team lead, chief engineer, and technical director.

Role Overview

• Participate as a member of a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team to model, design, develop, integrate, debug, test, field, and support Electronic Systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in a technical discipline (or equivalent) and 4-10+ years of relevant Systems Engineering experience.
• Experience using a requirements development tool such as DOORs or Jama.
• Experience using a SysML modeling tool such as Cameo or MagicDraw.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Subject matter expertise in one or more of: engine controls, flight controls, mission systems, actuation control, cabin systems, aircraft electrification, and battery or energy management systems.
• Product development experience covering requirement analysis, architecture, system design, integration, and test.
• Team leadership experience, including project technical leadership and/or Systems functional leadership.
• Experience performing requirements analysis, derivation and allocation, and translating requirements into viable concept design solutions.
• Integration and Test experience.

Compensation

• Full-Time Salary Range: $107,359 - $182,510 per yearly.
• The range reflects market pay structures; individual compensation is determined by business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications including skills, education, and experience.
