Join Contemporary Amperex Technology Kentucky LLC in Glendale, KY and help strengthen manufacturing decisions with plant-level data systems, dashboards, and automation. This onsite role focuses on turning production data into actionable insights aligned with FPS performance pillars, while working closely with Operations, Engineering, IT, and FPS Champions.
What you’ll do
- Manage and maintain production-related databases, including SQL, Oracle, and Hadoop environments.
- Create and maintain data dictionaries and workflow structures to improve standardization and clarity.
- Run regular audits across databases, SharePoint environments, administrator accounts, and security groups to support governance and security.
- Ensure database records stay aligned with actual production data and system operations.
- Support secure, efficient data collection across plant departments.
- Design and develop descriptive and predictive dashboards using Power BI and other tools.
- Build dynamic connections between local and enterprise databases to enable near real-time visualization.
- Provide insights tailored to operational tiers including Zone, Department, Plant, and Business.
- Propose, deploy, and improve visual management tools aligned with SQDCMEP performance targets.
- Support all departments by improving current dashboard workflows and enabling automation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to evaluate new data sources and translate them into business value.
- Develop strategies to shift data collection and application workflows from PC-based to factory-integrated solutions.
- Lead or support local and national application development to enable data sharing and collaboration.
- Administer and automate processes using SharePoint 365 and Power Automate.
- Gather requirements and rapidly prototype solutions using agile methods.
- Communicate and promote data-driven processes that improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, and cost.
- Participate in initiatives that align plant operations with digital transformation goals.
- Ensure dashboards and tools support FPS performance pillars: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Maintenance, Environmental, People.
- Work with FPS Champions, Engineering, Operations, and IT to align solutions with standardized performance metrics and visual management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Power BI, SharePoint 365, and Power Automate, plus SQL and at least one programming language (with Python preferred, including Pandas, Scikit-learn, PySpark).
- Data visualization experience with Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
- Understanding of OT/IT integration, industrial protocols (OPC UA, MQTT), and plant systems (MES, SCADA, Historians).
- Familiarity with data integration tools and platforms such as Oracle and Hadoop.
- Knowledge of data governance, security protocols, and audit procedures.
- 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing analytics, database management, or digital operations support.
- Experience with cloud platforms for industrial data solutions: AWS IoT, Azure IoT Suite, or GCP.
- Familiarity with big data frameworks (Apache Spark, Kafka) and orchestration tools (Airflow).
- Proven experience deploying predictive maintenance or process optimization models in production.
- Knowledge of ISA-95 architecture and industrial data standards.

Compensation & benefits
Salary: USD 80,000–130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
