Job Description

The AI Engineer role is an onsite opportunity based in Santa Ana, CA, focused on building and deploying practical AI applications to boost commercial performance in areas such as quoting, pricing, pipeline management, capacity planning, and forecasting. Working with Sales, Finance, and Operations, the position centers on embedding AI solutions into daily workflows to enable faster, data-driven decisions. Precision Castparts Corp. offers a salary range of USD 96,300 to 115,000 per year and requires a minimum of three years of experience, including at least two years in AI development.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales, Finance, and Operations to identify high-value AI use cases, including opportunity summaries and next best actions, guided quoting and pricing guardrails, similar deal insights and recommendation engines, pipeline and forecast intelligence dashboards, deal books, forecasting and SIOP inputs, market and opportunity summaries, and daily sales TOC dashboards.
  • Build and deploy AI enabled applications using Databricks.
  • Integrate data across CRM, CPQ, ERP, and contract systems.
  • Embed tools directly into commercial workflows rather than standalone dashboards.
  • Lead pilots end to end from design through test, launch, and sustainment.
  • Train users and drive adoption within real business routines.
  • Ensure accuracy, governance, and compliance with AS9100, ITAR, and DFARS requirements.
  • Align with Corporate and Division IT on AI standards and controls.
  • Report measurable improvements in revenue, margin, and forecast performance.

Requirements

  • 3 to 6 years developing complex applications.
  • 2+ years of AI experience.
  • Experience with CRM and/or CPQ systems strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting commercial or revenue operations is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Databricks including SQL, Delta Tables, and Unity Catalog.
  • AI capabilities such as LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and RAG workflows.
  • Strong SQL and Python (or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with APIs, Git, and application deployment processes.
