AI Engineer

Transformativ, LLC is hiring an AI Engineer (contract) to design, build, and deploy production-ready enterprise AI systems spanning agentic AI, LLMs, and multi-agent orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy production-ready Agentic AI and multi-agent systems
• Build enterprise AI applications in Python using platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Azure OpenAI, or similar
• Develop AI workflows using orchestration frameworks including LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, MCP, or comparable tools
• Integrate AI solutions with REST APIs, databases, and enterprise systems such as Microsoft 365, ERP, and CRM
• Partner with business leaders to convert operational challenges into practical AI solutions
• Lead technical design discussions and mentor other engineers when appropriate
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend approaches that fit real production needs

Requirements

• Professional experience building production AI applications
• Strong Python development skills
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Azure OpenAI, etc.)
• Experience with Agentic AI, autonomous agents, multi-agent systems, or AI orchestration
• Experience integrating REST APIs, databases, and enterprise applications
• Excellent communication skills with client-facing consulting experience
• Ability to explain complex AI concepts to both technical and business audiences

Job Type & Compensation

• 1099 Independent Contractor with Contract-to-Hire Opportunity
• Pay range: $75.00–$100.00 per hour
• Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience

Preferred Experience

• Experience with LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, MCP, Semantic Kernel, or similar frameworks
• Experience on cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
• Background in healthcare, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, procurement, or private equity
• Experience with AI governance, security, evaluation, and responsible AI practices
• Technical leadership or consulting experience
