AI Engineer - Automation/Robotics 1 [211210]

Based in Redmond, WA and onsite, this AI Engineer role from Aquent Talent focuses on automation and robotics to shape embodied AI and foundational robotics models. You will develop and deploy AI and robotics solutions, contribute to open-source robotic capabilities, and work to integrate control and perception stacks across simulation and real hardware environments. Compensation is USD 60 - 65 per hourly.

Responsibilities

• Fine-tune and optimize a range of sophisticated software implementation projects.
• Architect and implement robust test automation infrastructure.
• Develop advanced training and evaluation pipelines for machine learning models.
• Analyze and refine training datasets for robotic and AI applications.
• Create tools for rapid deployment of novel algorithms in both simulation and physical hardware.
• Integrate robotic control and perception stacks within various simulation frameworks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
• 2-4 years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong foundation in computer science with solid competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Practical experience with simulation environments or hands-on work with robotic hardware.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and perform unit testing on both new and existing production systems.
• Proficiency in programming alongside skilled problem diagnosis and resolution.
• Background in leading machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
