AI Engineer Global Broking
Job Description
TP ICAP’s Global Broking division is creating a new role for an AI Engineer based in New York, NY (onsite). You will operate as a dedicated spoke of the central AI & Innovation Lab, designing, building, deploying, and maintaining AI services that help optimize internal processes. The position also emphasizes collaboration across stakeholders and the lab to deliver AI solutions that are scalable, robust, and aligned with data stewardship and compliance expectations.
This opportunity sits within the Global Broking organization, with administrative reporting to the Regional COO and a strong dotted-line relationship to the AI & Innovation Lab. You will participate in lab initiatives, work with other spokes, and contribute to the continuous evolution of TP ICAP’s AI capabilities.
Role overview
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced AI services for internal use cases.
- Work as a dedicated spoke supporting the central AI & Innovation Lab through cross-spoke collaboration and shared platform enhancements.
- Translate stakeholder needs into technical solutions that reflect both business objectives and lab-established technical standards.
Responsibilities
- Architect and design innovative AI solutions tailored to business challenges.
- Build and deploy AI applications that are high-performing, scalable, and optimized for real-time operations.
- Scale AI agent solutions while maintaining strict data stewardship and compliance standards.
- Co-develop and enhance shared AI service platform and frameworks with the AI & Innovation Lab, contributing insights, requirements, and domain-specific customizations.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for deployed AI solutions to ensure smooth operation and quick issue resolution.
- Present AI project updates and key developments to relevant leadership and business stakeholders, demonstrating value and ensuring alignment with AI strategy.
Required skills and experience
- Expertise in AI technologies, including Generative AI and Machine Learning.
- Hands-on experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Experience with Python in AI/ML frameworks and libraries.
- Track record in architecture and design of domain-specific solutions, with scalable and robust services in production environments.
- Experience managing tech priorities within an Agile backlog, including dependency resolution and alignment with both business objectives and central AI team standards.
- Ability to present complex technical concepts to internal professionals and business stakeholders with varying technical backgrounds.
- AWS experience, including Bedrock and the Serverless ecosystem, working within established cloud frameworks.
- Front-end proficiency, particularly React, including building intuitive, responsive UIs integrated with AI-driven back-end services.
- Back-end expertise, including scalable API and microservices development and deployment to support AI solutions.
- Knowledge of OAuth (Okta) to implement secure, scalable authentication and authorization, ensuring data protection and privacy across AI solutions.
- Proactive, adaptable, and detail-oriented approach in fast-paced environments, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication tailored to different audiences, with professional collaboration aligned to company values.
- Strong organization and ability to stay calm under pressure, with a continuous-improvement mindset and collaboration with the AI & Innovation Lab.
