AI Engineer II - Enterprise Architecture

This hands-on role is focused on engineering production agentic AI systems that work with real financial data and support real customers within a regulated, customer-facing context. You will contribute to building, shipping, and operating AI capabilities, while partnering across product, design, and business teams.

Role Focus

Build and evolve AI-powered features that reduce operational friction, support better decision-making, and improve how customers interact, transact, and grow. The work includes production code development, system design contributions, and post-launch support with guidance from more senior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of production agentic AI systems that operate on real financial data and serve real customers.
• Design, build, and ship AI-powered features while learning to operate in a regulated, customer-facing environment.
• Write production code as part of end-to-end feature delivery.
• Participate in system design discussions and collaborate on architecture decisions.
• Help operate what you build after launch, with support and guidance from more senior engineers.
• Partner closely with product, design, and business teams to deliver agentic capabilities that improve customer experiences and operational workflows.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Some hands-on experience building or contributing to AI-powered features, LLM-based applications, or applied ML systems (professional or project-based).
• Solid engineering fundamentals in at least one backend language: Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with APIs, basic cloud concepts, and modern development practices.
• Interest in agentic AI systems, autonomy, and AI-assisted development workflows.
• Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow technical ownership over time.
• Comfort working in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
• Strong customer mindset and curiosity about real-world problem solving.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to LLM tooling, prompt engineering, RAG, or agent frameworks through work, coursework, or personal projects.
• Internship or early-career experience in fintech or other regulated environments.

Compensation and Location

• Location: Phoenix, AZ (onsite)
• Salary: USD 89,250 - 150,250 per year
• Minimum experience: 2 years
