AI / Machine Learning Engineer Sr Staff (Signal Processing)
Job Description
Lockheed Martin's LAIC is seeking a Senior Staff AI/ML Engineer who specializes in signal processing. Based in Fort Worth, TX with remote work options, this role guides projects from initial research to deployment and applies advanced AI techniques to complex signal-processing challenges, while leading technical teams to deliver robust solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and apply AI technologies across signal processing domains.
- Leverage contemporary AI approaches, including computer vision, deep learning, and reinforcement learning, to tackle complex signal processing problems and deliver innovative solutions.
- Participate in all phases of the system development lifecycle, from requirements generation through system and software design, implementation, integration, and flight testing.
- Own critical tasks and lead technical teams to produce high-quality outcomes.
- Contribute to proposals and whitepapers to secure funding for AI research and development projects.
- Assume technical lead duties and mentor junior engineers to foster their growth and expertise.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure successful project execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy AI solutions.
- Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Engage with other Lockheed Martin teams to identify opportunities for AI adoption and application.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Experience developing with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, or Keras.
- Proficiency in Python and libraries including NumPy, OpenCV, Scikit, Pandas, SciPy, and related tools.
- Experience applying machine learning and deep learning to signal processing domains such as radar, communications, electronic warfare, sonar, audio, or biomedical signals.
- Broad experience applying AI across multiple lines of business and customer programs in a large enterprise or government setting.
