Application Security (AppSec) Engineer - AI Trainer

Application Security (AppSec) Engineer - AI Trainer role supporting AI model training for cybersecurity through content evaluation and security problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate AI-generated cybersecurity content for real-world accuracy and validity
• Assess threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques
• Design and solve security-focused technical problems used to train AI systems
• Produce clear technical explanations and security-relevant code
• Provide feedback that directly informs improvements to the next generation of AI security models

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role, including one or more of: penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or adjacent work
• Experience may include government or military cyber operations
• Coding experience required, with comfort navigating and patching an existing codebase
• English fluency (native or bilingual) and strong writing skills
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Cybersecurity certifications plus (examples: OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, and similar)
