Job Description
The Associate Enterprise IT Security Engineer role at Baptist Health South Florida is based in Florida, onsite. The position focuses on planning, deploying, monitoring, and enhancing security tools and controls to protect patients, employees, data, and assets, while delivering security operations support, breach response, and remediation of vulnerabilities. The salary range is USD 78,611 to 102,194 per year, and the role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Plan, deploy, implement, monitor, and optimize the use of leading security tools and controls to safeguard patients, staff, data, and assets at Baptist Health.
- Verify that technology solutions align with security best practices in accordance with Baptist Health standards and applicable frameworks.
- Provide application and interface support, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with appropriate technical resources to resolve them.
- Respond to all system and network security breaches.
- Remediate identified vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation efforts across networks and systems.
- Maintain data and infrastructure security by implementing appropriate controls and safeguards.
- Develop and implement operational workflows and processes that enhance operational efficiency.
- Anticipate evolving technology and business needs to assess and propose proactive measures that safeguard Baptist Health infrastructure and data.
- Provide timely reports and communicate with relevant client departments, other technical resources, and vendors.
- Participate in on-call rotations; 24x7 coverage may be required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience implementing and supporting security tools, policies, and procedures for enterprise-grade computing and networking environments.
- Working knowledge of Linux, Mac, and Microsoft OS; mobile device and app management controls; endpoint protection; network topologies and controls; scripting; authentication protocols; database systems; application security; vulnerability remediation; and data loss prevention.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications and advising individuals with diverse technical, business, and operational backgrounds.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to rapidly learn new concepts and technologies.
- Balanced technical acumen, analytical abilities, and troubleshooting skills.
- Results-driven with a focus on delivering solid support.
- Preferred experience with IoT/IoMT security concepts, data loss prevention, O365 security, SIEM, physical security and privacy controls, and risk management.
