Job Description

EMCS, Inc. is seeking a BMS and PMS Engineer to design, program, commission, configure, test, and support Building Management and Power Monitoring Systems in commercial and mission-critical facilities. The role involves collaborating with facility teams, contractors, and vendors, with regional travel required and a hybrid work setup in Oklahoma City. The position carries a compensation range of USD 75,000 to 150,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Program and commission BMS/HVAC control systems, with Schneider EcoStruxure as the preferred platform
  • Configure points, graphics, alarms, schedules, and history data
  • Troubleshoot field devices, VFDs, and network communications (BACnet/IP, Modbus, Ethernet)
  • Review MEP drawings and develop or modify control sequences
  • Execute point-to-point testing, functional testing, and trend validation
  • Collaborate with facility teams, contractors, and vendors
  • Document redlines, as-builts, and support ticket updates
  • mentor junior technicians, particularly in senior roles

Requirements

  • 3–7+ years of controls/BAS experience
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems including AHUs, VAVs, chillers, boilers, and CRAC/CRAH units
  • Ability to read and modify controls schematics
  • Networking fundamentals such as VLANs, routing, and IP configuration
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive troubleshooting mindset

Pay & Positioning

  • Controls Engineer (Mid-Level): USD 75,000–110,000+
  • Senior Controls Engineer: USD 110,000–150,000+
  • Compensation is based on expertise, certifications, and project experience
