CAE Engineer

Advantage Technical is hiring an experienced CAE Engineer for a temporary assignment supporting advanced automotive product development. This hybrid role is based in Dearborn, MI, combining hands-on CAE work with time scheduled for flexibility. In this position, you will help drive engineering solutions on structural analysis topics such as NVH, durability, fatigue, and impact, while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

What you’ll be working on

• Perform CAE analysis and deliver engineering solutions that meet program deadlines
• Build, validate, and optimize finite element (FE) models
• Run and interpret structural analyses, including NVH, durability, fatigue, and impact simulations
• Support design validation and contribute to engineering countermeasures
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve system-level issues
• Develop engineering reports, status updates, and recommendations for stakeholders
• Execute DOE and optimization studies to explore design alternatives
• Contribute to continuous improvement of CAE methods, processes, and automation

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required); Master’s degree (preferred)
• 3 to 5 years of CAE experience in automotive, aerospace, or related industries
• Experience with closures systems, structural analysis, or finite element modeling
• Proficiency with CAE tools such as Abaqus, Nastran, LS-DYNA, HyperMesh, HyperWorks, ANSA, OptiStruct, or similar software
• Knowledge of linear static and non-linear dynamic analysis methods
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Python or MATLAB, optimization software, or automotive product development experience is a plus

Compensation and schedule

This is a temporary assignment in a hybrid work schedule from Dearborn, MI. Pay is $42/hour.
