Civil Engineer IV

Zachry Engineering Corporation (ZEC) is hiring a Civil Engineer IV in the Houston Briarpark area to support industrial and power infrastructure work with a focus on site civil engineering and design.

Responsibilities

• Support industrial and power infrastructure projects with responsibility for site civil engineering and design.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 10 years of Site Civil Engineering experience.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification and progress toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Experience performing grading and Earthwork site design.
• Experience conducting stormwater drainage analysis using Autodesk Storm & Sanitary Analysis (SSA).
• Knowledge of environmental permitting including NPDES, wetlands, 404, and Phase 1 ESA.
• Site layout experience covering parking, access, roadways, and ADA compatibility.
• Experience with Roadway / Paving design and specifications.
• Surveying knowledge: topographical, boundary, plats, and coordinate systems.
• Geotechnical knowledge supporting sitework prep and roadway / heavy haul paving design, including security gate / fencing design.
• High level proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D (MicroStation, OpenRoads, and GeoPak are desirable).
• Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written).
• Must have permanent authorization to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future.
