NetJets is seeking an Associate Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Columbus, OH campus on site. This role emphasizes security operations, monitoring, incident detection, and threat analysis to protect our systems, networks, and data. You will collaborate with senior cybersecurity engineers and IT teams to strengthen defenses and respond effectively to security events.

Responsibilities

  • Support the operation and administration of security tools, including SIEM platforms and related systems
  • Investigate security incidents and collaborate with senior engineers on investigations and remediation
  • Assist in shaping security policies and procedures for threat detection and response
  • Contribute to incident response and participate in forensic analysis when events occur
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and assist with patch management and security updates
  • Help maintain and enhance security controls and firewall configurations
  • Monitor network traffic, endpoints, and cloud environments for anomalies and threats
  • Support security documentation, including logs, reports, and security standards
  • Assist in security awareness training for employees and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to align security strategies

Requirements

  • Foundational understanding of network security concepts, firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS systems
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools and log management systems
  • Knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools and methodologies
  • Basic knowledge of cloud security concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for security issues
  • Ability to work in a team environment, collaborate across departments, and follow instructions from senior staff
  • Strong communication skills and ability to document security incidents, policies, and procedures
  • Enthusiasm to learn and grow within the cybersecurity field
  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
